Monitoring

On the Monitoring page, you can view System activity in the categories listed below.

Note

Note that there are three actions available to you on this page to help you with viewing activity:

  • Refresh: The content on the page is automatically refreshed approximately every 30 minutes, but you can select Refresh to update it immediately.

  • Let Recent Mail Become Searchable: If you select this, then the Search Cache is refreshed, so that users can search mail processed within the last 30 minutes.

  • Show/Hide Read Only Nodes: When you select this, you can either show or hide the Read Only and Blank Storage nodes in the System Status grid. You can press the Up/Down arrows above each section to show or hide that section.

  • Processing Status: This section presents metrics on emails processed by Email Archiving, covering both live and import Processing Units (PUs). It includes the number of emails processed by each PU for the current and previous hour, as well as the following details:

    • Spool Size: Number of emails in the spool directory.

    • Import Size: Number of emails in the import directory (Mailbox Reader, PST Import, or EML Imports).

    • Respool Size: Number of emails with respooling errors in the respool directory.

    • Error Size: Number of emails with permanent errors in the error directory.

    • Process Count: Total number of emails processed.

  • Components: Displays information on services running in the environment, including instances like the mailbox reader, web, folder replica, retrieval units, and solar-smtp. It also includes the data processed by each component. For example, Mailbox Reader displays the count and volume of emails downloaded for the current and previous hour.

  • Storage Node Status: Provides details about storage nodes used by the Email Archiving for email storage, including information on partitions and their current states. Note that since this data is stored in the Cloud, you don't need to monitor it.

  • Repository Status: Displays email repository information for each tenant, including the total emails processed and those processed in the current and previous hour. This section also covers Respool Size, Error Size, and the number of emails duplicated or excluded during processing for each tenant.

  • Partition Status: Details all file system-based partitions in the environment, including total capacity, current capacity, and percentage used. Note that since this data is stored in the Cloud, you don't need to monitor it.

  • Module Activity: Summarizes the data processed by various Email Archiving modules for the current and previous hour, segmented by tenant.

  • Currently Logged-in Users: Lists the users currently logged into the system across different tenants, including company details and admin levels.
